I have done many things in life, and I’ve always accomplished them with dedication. But this property is a dream that I have nurtured for a very long time, even before planting the vines: ours are 3 to 10 years old, with a density of 4,000 to 5,500 plants per hectare, Guyot training. The idea I want to express is one with a very clear philosophy: Ca ‘di Volpe produces and selects grapes in limited quantities driving tipicity and quality, pursuing wines of seductive juiciness and texture mirroring the distinguished character of each vine.
Being a woman, more precisely a “Donna del Vino”, means to have to confront with a complex daily routine. And if it is true that in a presentation a feminine touch is charming or, sometimes, indispensable, but running a business involves making important decisions, often on the spot, not looking for an immediate result but foreseeing the medium and long term. With Massimo we share each step, bearing the risks and taking the merits of every choice.
The vines are like children, require total dedication and infinite care: for us this mean a manual harvest, thinning to increase the concentration of the fruit, the meticulous selection of grapes to use, nothing less than the best, a moderate use of technology and limited use of wood, are already evidence that every Ca ‘di Volpe bottle will carry the philosophy of a young producer determined to grow, keeping the feet firmly on the ground.
